A few weeks ago I had a great day at a livestock auction. Known as a Winter Show, there were animals galore and I was in my element. Some very cute sheep, lots of chunky cattle, and young handlers showing their favourite lambs.
The following Tuesday I started with a cold. I can pinpoint the minute that it made itself known. I’d just been to feed Pip and the puppies. At first I thought it was a reaction to the sawdust or from cuddling one of the puppies. By the next day, it was full blown and I was sneezing my head off. It was also the first day at a new job and I sneezed my way through a meeting feeling hugely under par. Then it relocated to my chest and I’ve been coughing ever since, although less each day. A bad cold or flu, it’s wiped the floor with me.
I think it’s nearly gone now. It’s definitely slowed me down and it will be good to get back to all cylinders.
