things i wanna research about obsidian

however having stumbled upon obsidian in the later end of summer, i’m starting to have a dilemma again. i’ve always prefer a one application system as it’s more convenient and reduces the chances of double work.

i’ve done enough research on both and as of right now, the current thinking is to have notion for tracking my life as well as knowledge sources management. obsidian will be used for making notes and connecting thoughts, so as to have a certain level of standard, where notion is a dump all/small notes (?)

this is my current thought process but i think in the next few weeks when i find the time i should try to see how to properly seprate notion an obsidian? because in terms of making quality notes, i would have to refer to sources/media/ quotes etc. but then would these materials be tracked in obsidian or notion? similar to journaling and diary entries, where would they go? because i currrntly do have a notion daily tracker which includes journaling as well.

i would have to look into how obsidian manages their data view (database) and how i can use them for books/movei/youtube/quotes etc.
